The late 70’s and early 80’s saw a lot of significant changes for the Fiat Group. In 1978 they introduced their Robogate system for body assembly. And in 1979 a holding company was formed which brought together Fiat, Lancia and Ferrari and laterlyAlfa Romeo and Masserati in 1983.
During the 80’s and 90’s Fiat produced model after model which were hits with UK consumers, including the Panda, Uno, Tipo and Punto which won the car of the year award in 1995. Fiat Car Insurance groups are not too bad, an average Punto is a group 4-6.
